First Blog Post

Hello All,

I decided to start this blog post to keep all of our close friends and family updated on mine and Christopher's very, very busy lives. Chris is still working full-time at Toyota and is working his way up in the company. I am working full-time as a nanny for the two cutest kids, Braden and Brylie. I am also going to school full-time still and I am student teaching this fall, which is both exciting and scary! It's hard for me to think about being jobless for four months as I finish this last part of my Bachelor's degree program to become a teacher. I am just very lucky to have a wonderful husband and family that is very supportive, and has made it a lot easier to take that step of faith that Chris and I will make it through four months with just one salary. Thank you all!

As Christopher and I approach our one year anniversary, it's a great time for me to take a step back and look at all we have been through in our first year of marriage:  my grandmother coming down with meningitis one month before our wedding (she's doing wonderfully now), planning a crazy destination wedding at the beach last minute, and attempting to accomodate everyone who came, our wedding night dinner destination burnt down (two weeks before our wedding), my school, my mom being hospitalized for chest pains, Christopher's illnesses, my car accident, and soon my four months of jobless-ness. You know, they say that the first year of marriage is the hardest, and if you can make it through that first year, the rest will be much easier, and I say that sounds good to me :) I am so thankful to have found such a wonderful person to spend the rest of my life with!
