Fun times with great friends!

It's been such a long time since I've blogged on here! Life has just been so busy this past few weeks!! I am so happy to say that I only have three more Saturdays to commit to school, and then I student teach this fall. I don't know what I am going to do with all the free time on the weekends.

This weekend has been absolutely amazing!! Friday, I did all my house-keeping duties, and ended up spending a nice quiet evening with my husband. Saturday, Chris and I, Lorie and Michael, Mo and his brother, and his brother spent the evening making a quick stop at Rockin' The Docks in Lenoir City. We then went to Granny Barb's fishing dock, and stayed up until after 2 a.m., fishing and hanging out. Michael ended up catching a fish called a "Gar" that had teeth, and ended up biting Mo's brother. It was pretty funny! I didn't participate in the fishing too much, as I was too busy making sure the numerous spiders stayed out of my area!

Sunday, we went and saw Hangover II, and it was mighty hilarious!! It was pretty vulgar, but it was way funny too. That evening, we went to my parents' house and the "boys" rode the mini-bike and the 4-wheeler, and Mo's motorcycle. The greatest part of the evening is when we piled 8 people into mom's mini van and rode to town to pick up pizza and ice cream. I can't describe how much it means to me that my parents and I are so close. I love that I can take all mine and Chris' friends down there, and no matter what, we always have a great time. I am so thankful that God has blessed me with the greatest friends and family that I could ask for.

Overall, Memorial Day weekend was amazing. I am so proud of my uncle Bubba who has served in the Army and fought in many wars. I am so thankful for what he has done for our country. :-)

Today, was a smack in the face for me to return to reality. I was off school and babysitting ALL weekend, actually, a 4 day weekend. Today was hard to get up and get going, but I've missed those sweet babies I watch a lot, and I was glad to see them!

Next weekend will be a lot of fun! I do start my last and final core class for Tusculum College! Woo hoo!! I am supposed to start my master's program in January, but honestly, right now I am so burnt out from school, I just hope that my motivation returns very soon! Next Sunday I have some babysitting and the Toyota Company picnic with Chris.

Until next time...

Weekly Update!

Mother's day weekend was a success!! I had such a great time with my mom and sister as we spent a tremendous amount of time together at church and then lunch at the melting pot with my husband and daddy. It was a great experience, and the melting pot is yummy.

Today was my last day of practicum for this school year, and other than three days of summer school this summer, I'm done with practicum! So today we went to Wonder Works in Pigeon Forge with the fifth grade from Brown Intermediate. I enjoyed spending time with one of the mothers that chapperoned some students, and her little 6 year-old girl. The little girl, named Ashley, talked me into doing the "space walk" and half way up started freaking out, and wanted her mommy. We finally got through the course and were very happy to see the ground again.

I'm so excited to start my student teaching, but I am still very, very nervous about being without a job this fall. I know that we just have to leave it in God's hands and trust that he will provide for us if we begin to struggle.

As Chris and I are coming up on our one year anniversiary, I feel as if we are closer than we have ever been. Things are going wonderfully, and will only get better from here :-)

London turns One!

So, many of you may know that London is a very special part of our family! She's a sweet baby girl that we love dearly. I am writing this blog to ask that everyone keep baby London in your prayers for the next few days, as she is going to see a specialist this Thursday to have some birthmark "spots" checked out. We all thought that these spots were just birth marks and would go away with time. However, Katrina (London's Mom) took her to see a new doctor today that is very concerned with these spots, and he says that they are not normal. So, London goes for a CT Scan Thursday morning to make sure that nothing concerned with these spots is affecting her health.

On a more cheerful note, London's first birthday party is this Saturday! She is going to look so very cute rockin' her pink and purple home-made tutu and custom-made shirt created by Mrs. Poole and her business:  PlayPrettyHairBobs. You all should add her page on facebook!! I will upload photos of the birthday girl after the party!
