Hey everyone! I know its been a while since I've been on here, so I thought that I would give everyone a little update as to what Chris and I have been up to lately! Well, I guess the big news is that we got a puppy! Spencer is a shih tzu and he is almost 3 months old, so he is completely adorable. He's done so well with the house-training and not chewing on things (however, he is just now beginning to get teeth, so that'll probably change). He's brought so much happiness to Chris and I, and we are very thankful to our very sweet and understand land lords who have a very strict "no-pet" policy for bending the rules for Christopher and I. We are starting to get him used to actually taking walks around the neighborhood, and we are enjoying that! We have such an awesome community and neighborhood and I'm glad that we can get out and enjoy it!
The next order of business being my student-teaching experience! I am officially over half-way through and I've just transitioned into 5th grade science at North Middle School! I am looking forward to gradually learning more and more about how to be a great Middle School teacher- since that's the age that i've always wanted to work with. Although, I have to say, I am very saddened about leaving my sweet, loving little kindergarteners! They were so precious, and they "loved" me very much! I really didn't think that I was going to have a good time in Kindergarten, but I have to say that I loved it a lot, and I can only hope that I would be able to teach that grade sometime in the future. I am especially looking forward to graduation in December!! Woo hoo! That means back to the real "money-making" world! I cannot wait to be back in the work force full time. I've had a couple good leads on job opportunities and I am hoping that something pans out for me! I have an interview on Thursday, and I hope I hear great news back from them!
As most of you know, my great-grandmother was in the hospital a few weeks back for kidney problems as well as a problem with her heart rate. I would love to report that she is out of the hospital and has started dialysis and is doing so much better! She actually just turned 90-years young this past Saturday! We celebrated by throwing her a suprise birthday dinner at her favorite restaurant, Gondolier!
Well, that's all the updates that I can think of right now, I'll keep everyone posted if anything else comes along!
